Why Meditate?
It seems to be the "thing to do" these days - sit on a cushion, close your eyes, and hear your Self. Maybe you've tried it once - or a few times. Or so many times that you're frustrated and have just stopped trying!
See if any of these experiences resonate in your meditation practice / attempts:
Yup, I've been there!
See if any of these experiences resonate in your meditation practice / attempts:
- You can't hear "your own voice" - what does that even mean?!
- You can't remember the mantra after a few minutes
- Sitting still in silence is just about impossible
- Your brain just ends up writing you a list of what to do later
- Your mind turns up the volume and starts reminding you how useless you are at meditating - oh, and also at cooking, writing, working, exercising, loving...
- You are distracted by any noise and grab it as an excuse to quit
- You fall asleep.
Yup, I've been there!
So, what's a Soul supposed to do?!

So why should you bother investing time in meditating?
For soooo many reasons!
I believe that our world is facing one of the biggest evolutionary shifts we have experienced as humans yet.
We are expanding Love and releasing Fear.
Yes, that IS actually possible. I believe it with every cell in my body. But it takes each of us stepping courageously into our unique gifts and bringing all of our Selves to each moment.
Practicing presence, Love, forgiveness, acceptance.
And that takes quiet time to heal our own Souls FIRST and then start tuning into the promises we made in our Hearts before our journeys began.
So... more meditation time, Friends!
I invite you to play with me, learn a few new tools - or remember ones that maybe you have forgotten. And integrate what feels good to you into your own daily practice. Or use this free series as a springboard into finding other ways to meditate that feel better to you.
Either way, please join me in placing more time and attention on your practice of stillness, of quieting the mind and turning up the volume of your Heart and Soul.

- Research is proving that meditation offers substantial health benefits. Google it and you'll find article after article listed!
- Our lives seem to be getting busier and busier and at some point, we need to hit the Pause button for our own sanity and health. Meditation is an acceptable reason for the pause!
- Our children and their children are watching how we handle our emotions... so perhaps learning to pause before we react is a skill we can pass on to the next generations. Meditation teaches patience.
- Many, many wise Sages, Healers, Guides, Gurus, Religious Leaders have been advocating for individual time spent in stillness - whether you call it prayer or meditation. Perhaps these teachers have wisdom for us even now, lifetimes later.
- And then my reason for offering this gift of meditation tools to you...
