As you listen, I share Snatam's explanation of the origin of this song in her blog post, "Feel the Priceless Love of the Divine,"
"Guru Nanak, born in 1435, started the Sikh way of life in Northern India, in a time of great turmoil. The caste system was very strong, and religious tyranny and separation ruled the land. His teachings gave rise to a new way that allowed for people of all castes to connect with God. He did not insist that people practice one religion or another, but that their practice be mindful, driven by love, and, at its core, helpful to living a life of truth and service.
One of his main methods of teaching was through singing sacred poetry. ... It was very helpful that his poems had great rhythm and rhyme, as people were then able to remember and chant them when going about their lives, in the farms, shops, homes, and many places of Guru Nanak’s disciples. The energy of the Guru, the magic and the beauty, stayed alive in their hearts, even after Guru Nanak left their village. From this experience of joy through sound, they were transformed, and the concept of Shabd Guru was born. The Shabd Guru is the energy of the Guru, or teacher, living and teaching within the sacred sound current of the Guru.
“Amul” means priceless.
When we relate to “Amul,” we awaken within us a sense of desire for that which is priceless.
We live in the world, but we relate to that which is beyond it, above it, below it, and through it; that which is timeless, and that which is true. Guru Nanak calls it “God.” God, in this very real way, is about relating to Spirit, the breath, and the quiet moments when we stop, wait, and listen. ... This is a priceless moment. From this moment, we then have the opportunity to choose words and actions of love, courage, and truth. This brings us the greatest prosperity one can imagine.
But you need this moment. Without this moment, you can’t see or feel the truth.
If you are like me, singing is a great way to bring this energy forward into the mind.
The more we bring this “Amul” moment into our mind, the more we infuse its energy into our lives.
We then have the capacity to nourish the Soul, think and speak the truth, and live in complete consciousness with our work and lives to serve and uplift all beings. We essentially live by the frequency of the Spirit. It is absolutely totally possible!

And the invitation always is for us to claim Time and Space in the busy-ness of our schedules to listen to the whispers of our Souls. To identify and release the old ways that no longer serve us. And to consciously... deliberately... from our Hearts... choose a new way of Being a Soul, living and breathing and co-creating a new Gaia.

I have experienced Carrie's Gift of Breathwork myself and it was a profound session that healed a very old, painful wound and then reconnected me to the Truth of what I am creating next. And so I bring Carrie and her wisdom and healing to this Portal weekend for you to experience for yourself.

Integration of all that heals and expands in our Portal time together is sometimes the hardest part of this self-growth journey. And so we are setting you up for success by including a follow-up healing session with Alicia.
Within two weeks of the weekend, you and Alicia match up times on your calendars for a one-hour Rising Star Treatment. "The Rising Star is an extraordinarily powerful system sourced from an ancient Tibetan lineage. It works by directing energy through the client’s chakra system, working on the five elements; fire, water, air, earth and ether, so that your entire being can start to balance and heal. The energy work continues after the session to clear the chakra and auric system for 21 days, moving through the 7 energy points (chakras) three times."

A Few 3-D Logistics...
We are getting cozy, letting go of some of our familiar routines, and opening up to new adventures on this 11-11 Portal weekend. :)
Living Space:
If you have not been to our home yet, you will find that it is perfect for hosting events - my husband and I were married in the front yard with 100 guests four years ago and we host monthly Circles of 15-25 guests comfortably. The living room, dining room, and kitchen will be open for everyone to use as they need to throughout the weekend and we have a beautiful outdoor area for any integration with nature.
Sleeping Space:
Our lower level (my office and entertainment area, super high vibration!) will be set up with air mattresses, comfy couches, and futon mattresses so that everyone has their own space to rest and recharge each night.
Food / Drinks:
All meals are provided while you are here and are prepared in community. Food is simple and delicious (soups, salads, fruits, veggies, pancakes, eggs, desserts, tea infusions, juices) with veggie and gluten-free options available. As always in my home, there will be plenty to eat!
Please bring your own recyclable water bottle and whatever snacks you want to have on hand or contribute to the community.
